Terms of Service

Welcome to Maintenalyze. By using our mobile application or the Maintenalyze for Workshops web platform, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Maintenalyze, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Maintenalyze is a vehicle maintenance platform that allows car owners to:

• Record and track vehicle service history, including records verified by partner workshops.
• Log fuel fill-ups and monitor fuel efficiency.
• Set maintenance reminders based on time or mileage.
• View analytics and cost breakdowns for their vehicles.
• Discover nearby workshops and book appointments.
• Transfer vehicle ownership to other users and export service history as PDF reports.

Maintenalyze for Workshops allows automotive businesses to manage customers, create service records, issue invoices, manage appointments, and view business analytics.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. Workshop owners are responsible for the actions of staff accounts they create.

4. Consumer Subscriptions

• Garage Basic (free): track 1 vehicle with full features.
• Garage Plus: track up to 3 vehicles, includes PDF export.
• Garage Pro: unlimited vehicles, priority support, and early access to new features.

Consumer subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and can be managed or cancelled in your device's store settings. Refunds are handled according to the respective store's refund policy.

5. Workshop Subscriptions

• Starter (free): up to 50 service records per month and 2 staff accounts.
• Professional (USD 29 / month): unlimited records, unlimited staff accounts, invoicing, appointments, photo documentation, and analytics.
• Enterprise (USD 79 / month): everything in Professional, built for larger teams, with priority support. Multi-location support is planned and will be announced when available.

Workshop subscriptions are billed through Stripe. New workshops receive a 30-day Professional trial without a payment method; after the trial, accounts revert to Starter unless upgraded. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and remain active until the end of the billing period.

6. Verified Service Records

Workshops are responsible for the accuracy of service records they create. Verified records reflect work as reported by the workshop; Maintenalyze does not independently verify the work performed. Workshops may edit their records within 24 hours of creation.

7. Appointments

Appointment bookings are agreements between you and the workshop. Cancellation windows are set by each workshop. Maintenalyze is not a party to the service contract between car owners and workshops.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit (photos, service records, vehicle data). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process this content solely for providing the service.

9. Community Data

By using the service, you agree that anonymized, aggregated data from your vehicle records may be used to generate community statistics. No personally identifiable information is shared.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
• Upload malicious content or interfere with the service's operation.
• Misrepresent vehicle data or create fraudulent records.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that maintenance reminders will be delivered on time or that analytics calculations will be perfectly accurate. Always follow your vehicle manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule.

12. Limitation of Liability

Maintenalyze shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to vehicle damage resulting from reliance on the app's reminders or recommendations, or disputes between car owners and workshops.

13. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

15. Prices & VAT

Workshop subscription prices are: Starter — free; Professional — USD 29 per month; Enterprise — USD 79 per month. All workshop prices are stated excluding VAT. VAT is charged where required by law; for business customers established in another EU member state who provide a valid VAT number, the EU B2B reverse-charge mechanism applies where applicable. Consumer subscription prices (Garage Plus, Garage Pro) are shown in the App Store or Google Play in your local currency and include applicable taxes as displayed by the store. We may change prices with prior notice; changes apply from the next billing period.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms or the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Hungarian courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which a consumer resides.

If you are a consumer, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, or turn to the Hungarian conciliation body (békéltető testület) competent for your place of residence — for Budapest, the Budapesti Békéltető Testület (bekeltet.bkik.hu).
