Maintenalyze ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Maintenalyze mobile application, the Maintenalyze for Workshops web platform, and this website. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our services.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: email address, username, and authentication provider (Apple, Google, Facebook, or email).
• Vehicle data: make, model, year, engine type, license plate, mileage, and vehicle photos you choose to upload.
• Service records: maintenance history including dates, mileage, costs, categories, workshop names, photos, and invoice photos.
• Fuel logs: fill-up records including date, odometer reading, volume, cost, and receipt photos.
• Reminders and appointments: maintenance reminder settings and appointment bookings you make with workshops.
• Workshop accounts: for workshop users — business name, address, contact details, staff accounts, and billing information.
• Push notification tokens: device tokens used to deliver notifications you have enabled.
• Location: your device location is used only while you browse the workshop discovery map, to show nearby workshops. It is not stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the apps' functionality.
• To track your vehicle maintenance history and send reminders and notifications.
• To generate analytics and insights about your vehicle costs.
• To enable workshops to create verified service records and manage appointments.
• To contribute anonymized, aggregated data to community statistics.
• To process vehicle transfers between users.
• To process workshop subscription billing.

3. Sharing With Workshops

When you link with a workshop — by QR check-in, booking an appointment, or claiming a vehicle a workshop registered for you — that workshop can view your vehicle's service history in order to provide service. Workshops never see your login credentials or payment information. Records created by a workshop appear in your app marked as verified by that workshop.

4. Community Data

We aggregate anonymized vehicle data (make, model, year, service costs, fuel efficiency) to power community statistics. This data cannot be traced back to individual users.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on servers hosted by Railway, with uploaded files stored on Cloudflare R2. We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-specific secure storage.

6. Third-Party Services

• Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, Facebook Login: authentication. These services may collect data according to their own privacy policies.
• RevenueCat: consumer subscription management and in-app purchases.
• Stripe: workshop subscription billing. We never store your card details.
• Expo / EAS: app updates and push notification delivery.
• Resend: transactional email (e.g. trial reminders).
• CARTO: map tiles for the workshop discovery map are fetched from CARTO's servers.

7. Photos

Photos you upload are stored on our servers and are accessible only to you and, for service-record photos, to the workshop that serviced your vehicle. We do not share your photos with other third parties.

8. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (vehicles, services, fuel logs, reminders, and uploaded photos) will be permanently deleted.

9. Your Rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data through the app.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Export your vehicle service history as a PDF.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Transfer vehicle ownership to another user.
• Object to or restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the app and on this page.
